Why Live Event Art?

Whether it’s your wedding day, birthday party, or a corporate event, having an in-person artist adding custom artwork to the day is a sure fire way to bring an even brighter smile to everyone's face. The amount of joy that guests experience by watching an artist in their element can astonish even me! In a world where so much is mass produced and images are generated in a second by AI, to witness something be created by hand will truly make your event memorable!

How it works:

Guests strike a pose and get their picture taken by my assistant. Their photo is then added to the queue to be used as a reference for their painting. Guest can get right back to the celebrations while they wait for their painting to be completed.
Portraits are drawn then painted in a minimalist style that focuses on their stunning outfits and hairstyles, meaning no hands or face details (except for glasses and beards/mustaches). These paintings take averagely 6 minutes per person to complete.
Guests pick up their portraits toward the end of the event. Any portraits that were not picked up or were not completed by the end of the event will be completed afterwards in my studio and mailed to you within 30 days. Include them in your Thank You cards for easy distribution! For events with larger guest counts, expect for around half of the portraits to be done after the event, depending on the length of the event.

Pricing:

For 20-80 guests: $15 per guest plus a flat fee of $250 to cover preparation time, set-up, and materials.
For 80-200 guests: $15 per guest plus a flat fee of $300 to cover additional preparation time, set-up, and materials.
If your event is over an hour away, a custom travel fee will be added to your total to reflect the distance.

Optional add-ons:

Venue Landscape ($45): Capture the charm of your venue with a 5×7 watercolor sketch. Can be done either on-site or later in studio.
The Highlights Package ($180): Done later in my studio, this package includes four minimalist paintings of the favorite moments from the day.
Thank You Card Service (Additional $10/guest): Want all the portraits to become your Thank You Cards? I can keep all the portraits from the event, collect names and addresses, then mail them out for you! Send me customized messages for each guest and I’ll print them out to include with their portrait.

The Wedding Party Package: Give your bridesmaids, groomsmen, and parents special portraits from the wedding. Since these aren’t being made live at the event, more time and consideration is taken in creating the portraits in my studio. – $25 per person or $45 per couple.

Place Holders Portraits:

Here’s how it works:

A few weeks before the big day I’ll meet with you and your fiance to talk about your dream wedding day portrait. We’ll talk about what moment you would like captured and what things you would like to incorporate in your portrait. I will also request some of your favorite photos of the two of you so that I have more references to use when I begin your portrait.
The day of your wedding I’ll arrive before guests to set-up and begin laying out the portrait with the background. When the moment comes that you would like captured I will take photos for reference and then continue painting your portrait based on the photos I took.
Throughout the celebration your guests get to stop by and watch as I paint. They can ask questions about the process or just enjoy watching as they see your portrait come to life.
After the wedding I’ll do the finishing touches on your portrait at my studio and complete the artwork within 4-12 weeks.
Based on how far away you are I will either hand deliver the completed portrait or have it shipped to you.
